April 03, 2008 01:07 am

Police are looking for two men who were involved in a scuffle with a police officer early Tuesday at the Wal-Mart store at 1501 S. Range Line Road.
Cpl. Chuck Niess of the Joplin Police Department said an officer who was patrolling the parking lot of the store about 12:10 a.m. started to approach a pickup truck in a remote area of the lot when the driver suddenly drove to the front of the store and parked.
The officer approached two men who got out of the truck and tried to enter the store, Niess said. While the officer was checking out their identification, one of the men shoved the officer and they both ran, Niess said. He said they got away but left their truck and one man’s identification behind.
Police were still looking for the two men on Wednesday, Niess said.
