CARTHAGE, Mo. — A La Russell woman is facing a felony drug charge and a charge of driving under the influence of drugs in connection with an incident in a private parking lot in Carthage.
The Carthage Police Department said Daina C. Peugh, 30, was arrested at 4:02 p.m. Thursday for allegedly driving while under the influence of drugs in a lot at 2705 S. Grand Ave.
Her vehicle was searched, and suspected marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia allegedly were found.
The city filed misdemeanor charges against Peugh alleging driving under the influence, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Jasper County prosecutor’s office charged her with felony possession of a controlled substance. Court records show that she also had been charged Wednesday with felony possession of chemicals with the intent to manufacture meth in connection with a March 14 arrest.
Peugh remained in custody Monday at the Jasper County Jail on bonds totaling $10,500.
