Joplin police are investigating a report of a fire that apparently was set at the back of a home at 2145 W. 32nd St.
Cpl. Chuck Niess of the Joplin Police Department said a neighbor called to report the fire at 7:31 a.m. Sunday. Someone had set a bicycle and scooter on fire at the back of the home, along with some paper inside a back door, Niess said.
The fire had been extinguished by the time the Joplin Fire Department arrived.
