An 18-year-old woman was injured in a pedestrian-vehicle accident at 7:21 a.m. Thursday on North Main Street at C Street, according to a Joplin Police Department report.
Shawntee M. Howard, Joplin, was taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital West, the police report said.
Howard was crossing Main Street from the west side when a vehicle driven by David S. McKeehan, 64, Joplin, pulled from a parking lot and struck her, the report said.
n A 24-year-old woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 7:04 p.m. Wednesday on Hearnes Boulevard at the eastbound on-ramp for Interstate 44, according to a Police Department report.
Amber N. Thornhill, rural Joplin, was taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital West, the police report said.
Thornhill was driving a northbound vehicle that collided with a vehicle driven by Harold D. Hillman, 76, of Little Valley, N.Y., who had turned onto the on-ramp for I-44 and then attempted to turn back across the northbound lanes of Hearnes Boulevard to go south on the boulevard, the report said.
