A story in Saturday’s edition regarding the sentencing of Leroy Dean Moore on a statutory rape conviction, incorrectly identified Moore’s wife as the mother of the 16-year-old victim in the case.
Moore’s wife was ushered from the courtroom and made threatening statements concerning the girl in the parking lot, not the girl’s mother.
The girl’s mother was seated with her daughter her daughter’s grandmother to support her during the sentencing.
