The Northeast Oklahoma Electric Cooperative announced this morning that they expect most of their members to have electricity restored by the end of the day.

Co-op officials said that about 184 members remain without power in the wake of Saturday’s deadly tornado. At the peak of the power outage, about 1,500 were without power in the co-op’s four-county service area.

Crews have received assistance from the Indian Electric Cooperative in Cleveland, Okla.; the Verdigris Valley Electric Cooperative, Collinsville, Okla.; and the East Central Electric Cooperative, Okmulgee, Okla., as part of a mutual aid assistance

Members can call (800) 256-6405 to report outages.
