A Joplin woman has been charged with felony assault on her 19-year-old daughter.
The Jasper County prosecutor’s office filed a charge of second-degree domestic assault against Eva C. Hart, 35, in connection with an incident Saturday at 410 N. Wall Ave.
Cpl. Chuck Niess of the Joplin Police Department said Ashley E. Dunham, 19, of that address, told police that her mother hit her in the face several times until a man pulled Hart off her. Hart then allegedly came back with a knife and threatened to kill Dunham, although she made no further assault, Niess said.
Dunham did not require immediate medical attention, Niess said.
