Globe/Roger Nomer Stephanie Wilson stocks sandwiches at the new Kum and Go convenience store in Sarcoxie. The store is among a group of businesses located in an area being considered for annexation by the city.

Sarcoxie considers annexation options

“Of course, revenue will be coming in, but setting up water and sewage will be a cost to the city. There is some possible state and federal funding that can help us get it done.”

Thomas said no date has been set for discussion about the proposed annexation.

Meeting date

The Sarcoxie City Council next meets the night of Tuesday, June 5.
