A Mount Vernon man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on Route M, two miles east of Mount Vernon in Lawrence County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Brian A. Chilcutt, 27, was flown to Cox Medical Center-South in Springfield with moderate injuries, the patrol said.
Chilcutt was driving a southbound pickup truck that ran off the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned, the patrol said. He was thrown from the vehicle.
n Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 4:27 p.m. Monday on Interstate 44 in Joplin, according to the Joplin Police Department.
The driver of one of the vehicles, Vicki L. Struzziery, 50, of Joplin, and a passenger in the other vehicle, Melisa A. Colvin, age and address not available, were taken to local hospitals, police said.
Struzziery lost control of her westbound van on wet pavement, and it left the road and then slid back across it into the path of a westbound car driven by Christopher L. Colvin, 32, of Broken Arrow, Okla., police said.
n A Frontenac, Kan., man was injured in a single-vehicle crash at 12:53 a.m. Sunday on Dittman Road in Frontenac, according to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department.
Wade E. Curlee, age not available, was taken to Mount Carmel Regional Medical Center in Pittsburg, Kan.
Curlee’s vehicle left the road and struck a tree, the department said.
