NEOSHO, Mo. — Two people were charged by the Newton County prosecutor’s office Friday with manufacturing methamphetamine based on a search warrant served Thursday night at a home at 14512 Heron Drive near Neosho.
Felony manufacturing charges were filed against Debbie K. Whitman, 47, and Eric Eugene Proctor, 36, of Neosho. They were being held Friday at the Newton County Jail on bonds of $100,000 each.
The Newton County Sheriff’s Department said deputies went to the address about 8:30 p.m. after receiving information about possible illegal drug activity there. Proctor and Whitman allegedly were discovered cooking meth, authorities said.
