Published June 30, 2009 01:19 am -  Five motorists hurt in accidentsA Shell Knob woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 12:02 p.m. Monday on Route YY, four miles east of Shell Knob in Barry County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Linda K. Bousman, 57, was taken to St. John’s Hospital in Berryville, Ark., the patrol said. The westbound car ran off the road and struck a culvert, the patrol said. n Four Lamar residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 5:23 p.m. Sunday on Southeast 10th Road, a mile southeast of Lamar in Barton County, the patrol said. Taylor S. Girkin, 16, driver of one of the vehicles, and his passenger, Raven B. Stansell, 9, were taken by ambulance to Barton County Memorial Hospital in Lamar, the patrol said. The other driver, Charles A. Seaton, 25, and his passenger, Kevin D. Dotson, 34, were taken by private vehicle to the same hospital. Seaton’s southbound car collided with Girkin’s eastbound car at an intersection, the patrol said.
