— The Jasper County Sheriff’s Department is looking for two armed, masked men who invaded a home near Carl Junction late Monday night, demanding money.
A male occupant fled the house and was shot by one of the suspects, the Sheriff’s Department said. He was taken to local hospital, where he remained in good condition Tuesday morning, the Sheriff’s Department said.
The suspects were described as about 6 feet 2 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall and wearing white bandannas over their faces. The taller one was described as having a thin build and was wearing shorts, the Sheriff’s Department said. The other had a medium-to-heavy build.
The incident took place near the intersection of Fir Road and County Lane 292.
