WASHBURN, Mo. — Three people were found dead in a small town in Southwest Missouri, according to a release the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
The patrol said a trooper on Friday night saw three people lying in the grass near the sports complex in Washburn, southwest of Springfield. As the trooper approached, he realized all three were dead.
The dead were identified as Carl Miller, 42, Washburn, his former wife, Rhonda Miller, 39, also of Washburn, and Donald F. Horton Jr., 45, of Bentonville, Ark. The Associated Press was reporting that all three had been shot.
The patrol said the investigation continued Saturday and that autopsies were expected to be conducted Monday.
