Published July 31, 2008 01:20 am -  Oklahoma man faces weapon, assault chargesA Del City, Okla., man faces a felony count of unlawful use of a weapon and two misdemeanor counts of assault after he allegedly harassed a couple outside the Waffle House in south Joplin, police said.
Keith L. Edwards, 37, was arrested at 2:27 a.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of the Kum and Go convenience store, 3504 S. Range Line Road in Joplin, said police Cpl. Chuck Niess. Niess said a couple reported that Edwards confronted them in the parking lot of the store, then followed them to the Waffle House at 3506 S. Range Line Road, where he allegedly shoved the man. When police arrived and searched Edwards’ vehicle, officers reportedly found a loaded pistol in the front seat, Niess said. Edwards was taken to the Joplin City Jail.
