Published July 31, 2008 01:22 am -  Two people killed in two-vehicle crash in Barry CountyTwo men were killed in a two-vehicle crash at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 39 in Shell Knob in Barry County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Jarred M. Welch, 23, of Shell Knob, the driver of a motorcycle, was pronounced dead at the scene. Bayley S. Bryant, 18, of Berryville, Ark., died Wednesday morning at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, the state patrol said. Bryant was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Brandon L. Phillips, 16, of Berryville. Phillips and another passenger, Audria L. Fox, 37, of Berryville, also were taken to Cox South. Phillips was driving a westbound van that was pulling out of a private drive onto the highway when the driver’s side of the vehicle was struck by a northbound motorcycle driven by Welch, the patrol said. n A St. Paul, Kan., man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday on U.S. Highway 71, a mile north of Goodman in McDonald County, the state patrol said. Joseph G. Beachner, 31, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said. The vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck a guardrail, the patrol said. n A Bella Vista, Ark., man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday on Route E, two miles south of Powell in McDonald County, the state patrol said. Carey W. Reeves, 40, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin. Reeves lost control of his southbound vehicle on a curve, and it ran off the road and overturned, throwing him out, the patrol said. n A Riverton, Kan., teenager was injured in a single-vehicle crash at 8 a.m. Wednesday on Highway 43, six miles south of Joplin, the state patrol said. Jordan D. Robinson, 18, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin. Robinson was driving a northbound vehicle that ran off the right side of the road, struck an embankment and crossed over a county road, the patrol said. n A Noel woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday on Route DD, three miles west of Lanagan in McDonald County, the state patrol said. Taffi M. Parsons, 54, was taken to Freeman Neosho Hospital, the patrol said.
