According to exit polls conducted by the Globe today at Mark Twain Elementary School, 58.3 percent of voters favor the two measures. However, the margins needed for victory are different for the two questions. The sales-tax increase requires a simple majority, but the bond requires a two-thirds, or 66.6 percent, majority according to the Missouri Constitution.
