A Kansas woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 2:05 p.m. Friday on Highway 71, two miles north of Sheldon in Vernon County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Melissa A. Blundel, 38, of Prairie Village, Kan., was taken by ambulance to Nevada Regional Medical Center in Nevada, the state patrol said.
Blundel was driving a northbound car that ran into the median of the four-lane highway, and then crossed the road and ran off the right side and overturned, the patrol said.
n A Frontenac, Kan., resident was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 8:50 a.m. Thursday at Joplin and Washington streets in Pittsburg, Kan., according to the Pittsburg Police Department.
Rosalie R. Talley, 82, was taken by ambulance to Mount Carmel Regional Medical Center in Pittsburg, police said.
Talley was driving a northbound van that was struck broadside by an eastbound pickup truck driven by Bill Brokob, 60, of Girard, Kan., when Brokob pulled out from a stop sign, police said.
n Both drivers were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 1:34 p.m. Thursday on 15th Street at Florida Avenue, according to the Joplin Police Department.
William Blunk, 40, 1324 S. Moffet Ave., and Kimberly J. Dorris, 31, 3604 E. 16th St., were taken by ambulance to an unspecified hospital, police said.
Blunk was driving an eastbound car and Dorris was driving a westbound vehicle that collided at the intersection. Blunk was attempting a left turn onto Florida Avenue when the collision occurred, police said.
