A Webb City man reported being robbed of his cell phone Tuesday morning in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart store at 1501 S. Range Line Road in Joplin.
Cpl. Chuck Niess of the Joplin Police Department said the strong-arm robbery took place about 1:55 a.m. Brian T. Winters, 39, told officers that two male acquaintances and a woman were harassing him outside the store, and when he tried to call police, one of the men reached inside his vehicle, pried the phone from his had and left with it.
Niess said officers were unable to locate the others involved in the incident. No arrests had been made by late Tuesday afternoon.
