Published August 27, 2008 12:15 am -  Deputies continue to recover itemsNEOSHO, Mo. — Newton County sheriff’s deputies over the weekend continued to recover stolen property at a rural Seneca address where they found six stolen trailers, two stolen all-terrain vehicles and a stolen golf cart last week.
Chief Deputy Chris Jennings of the Newton County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release that deputies returned to 2969 Kentucky Road with a search warrant after initially finding the trailers and other vehicles worth a total of $60,000 during a consent search Wednesday night. Jennings said two more days were spent going through property at the address, and several more stolen items were identified, including eight more all-terrain vehicles, three motorcycles, a Kawasaki Mule, five generators, a welder generator, several chain saws and trimmers, a gas air compressor, a gas water pump, two dune buggies, a 50-gallon diesel tank with pump, several large toolboxes, and a hunting bow. Most of the items have been tied to thefts in Newton and Jasper counties in Missouri or in Oklahoma, and some items were stolen as far away as North Carolina, the department said. The Sheriff’s Department said charges are anticipated.
