A former Sarcoxie resident has been charged with a felony after a knife was thrown at a car in which his ex-girlfriend was an occupant.
Jerry R. Franks, 38, who told police he has no current address, was arrested at 10:53 a.m. Friday in the 2900 block of South McClelland Boulevard. Cpl. Chuck Niess of the Joplin Police Department said Franks allegedly threw a knife at a vehicle in which Joey D. Herndon, 45, of Webb City, and Stephanie L. Glasgow, 22, of Joplin, were occupants. Neither occupant was injured, Niess said.
Franks was charged this week by the Jasper County prosecutor’s office with unlawful use of a weapon.
