COLUMBUS, Kan. — An Afton, Okla., man has been sentenced to six months of probation after being found guilty of misdemeanor criminal deprivation of property.
Cody Greenfeather, 26, pleaded guilty to the charge on Sept. 15 and was found guilty by Cherokee County Magistrate Judge Bill Lyerla. He was given credit for jail time he has served.
Greenfeather initially was charged with felony possession of stolen property for an incident on July 17, 2007, alleging he was in possession of a pickup stolen from Gary Johnson, of Edna.
Cherokee County Attorney John Bullard prosecuted the case. Robert Myers was Greenfeather’s attorney. The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department investigated the case.
