A sweep of the Cherokee County, Kan., Courthouse by bomb-sniffing dogs found nothing and the courthouse square re-opened to traffic after a bomb threat was called in this morning.
The Cherokee County Courthouse was evacuated around 10:30 a.m. today after the threat was called in to the county treasurer's office, said County Commissioner Pat Collins.
The county budget hearing, scheduled for this afternoon, will be rescheduled. The courthouse will remain closed for the rest of the day.
