— The Kansas Lottery Commission today set Jan. 21, 2009, as the deadline for applicants to submit proposals for a destination casino in the Southeast Gaming Zone, Cherokee or Crawford counties.
The commission took the action following Penn National Gaming’s withdrawal from its state contract.
“We would like this to be a pretty firm date,” said Keith Kocher, director of gaming facilities for the Lottery.
