JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — Gov. Matt Blunt is interviewing the three finalists for the Missouri Supreme Court.
The governor’s office says Blunt is to meet Tuesday with appeals court Judge Lisa White Hardwick, then with appellate Judge Ronald Holliger and finally with Atchison County Associate Circuit Judge Zel Fischer.
The three candidates were submitted to Blunt in August by a special commission that screens applicants to fill vacancies on the appellate court. The governor has about two more weeks to make a decision.
Blunt says the personal interviews are an important part of his review process.
