A Monett woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 11 a.m. Wednesday on Route B at Missouri Highway 37 in Purdy, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Brenda M. Watkins, 25, was taken by ambulance to Cox Monett Hospital, the patrol said.
Watkins was driving a westbound van that ran into the rear of a westbound pickup truck driven by James R. Miller, 66, of Cassville, as Miller was stopped at the intersection, the patrol said. The van continued traveling after the collision and struck a house, the patrol said.
n A Carthage man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday on a county road a mile north of Carthage, the state patrol said.
Joseph Caperella, 72, was taken to McCune-Brooks Regional Hospital in Carthage, the patrol said.
Caperella was driving a southbound car that ran into a ditch when he swerved to avoid a deer, the patrol said.
n A Monett man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday on Route D, a little less than five miles east of Neosho in Newton County, the state patrol said.
Dave L. Moss, 24, was taken to Freeman Neosho Hospital in Neosho, the patrol said.
Moss was driving an eastbound car that ran off the road when he swerved to avoid an animal, the patrol said.
n Two Exeter teenagers were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 5:25 p.m. Tuesday on County Road 1157, five miles east of Cassville, the state patrol said.
The driver of the sport utility vehicle, Kayla R. Newman, 18, and her passenger, Alixandreastet C. Eisenbraun, 16, were taken by ambulance to St. John’s Hospital in Cassville, the patrol said.
The northbound vehicle began skidding on a curve, then ran off the road and struck a tree, the patrol said.
