Four motorists hurt in traffic accidents
A Monett woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 1:20 p.m. Thursday on Highway 60, one mile west of Monett in Barry County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Rebecca L. Gillian, 19, was taken by ambulance to Cox Monett Hospital in Monett, the patrol said.
Gillian was driving an eastbound car that was struck in the rear by a car driven by Clarence J. Wuellner, 91, of Monett, when Wuellner pulled from Crestwood Drive onto the highway and into the path of Gillian’s car, the patrol said.
n Two people were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 126, a tenth of a mile west of Golden City in Barton County, according to the patrol
A passenger in the vehicle, Zachary S. Townsend, 24, of Golden City, was flown by medical helicopter to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said. The driver, Jenna R. Hamilton, 21, was taken to Barton County Memorial Hospital in Lamar.
The eastbound car ran off the road and struck a culvert, the patrol said.
n A Stella woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday on Route D, three miles east of Neosho in Newton County, the patrol said.
Patricia S. Belmont, 59, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said.
Belmont was driving an eastbound vehicle that struck a deer, the patrol said.
