MIAMI, Okla. — The search for a new president of Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College has been narrowed to five candidates, college officials announced Thursday.
They are:
Sylvia M. Burgess, associate vice president for academic affairs, equal-opportunity officer and campus compliance officer, and director of campus compact and faculty development at Cameron University in Lawton.
Peggy Dumas Dyer, provost for the West Campus of Tulsa Community College.
Timothy W. Faltyn, assistant vice president of academic affairs and division head of arts and sciences at Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City.
Jeffery L. Hale, associate vice chancellor for administration with the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, Oklahoma City.
K. Dale Patterson, a former NEO administrator and coach, and current assistant director of football operations at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.
The Board of Regents for Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical Colleges will interview the finalists on Dec. 4. A decision could be made that day, said Doug Burns, chairman.
The finalists will meet with a variety of groups on and off campus during the interview procedure, he said.
“We had a very strong pool of applicants and are especially pleased with these five finalists,” Burns said in a statement “During this process, it has become even more obvious that the future is very bright for NEO.”
The new president will succeed Glenn Mayle, who stepped down Oct. 1.
