A Verona man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 6:10 a.m. Thursday on U.S. Business Highway 60, three miles east of Monett in Barry County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Mark R. Jennings, 42, was taken by ambulance to Barton County memorial Hospital in Lamar, the state patrol said.
Jennings was driving a westbound pickup truck that ran into the rear of an unoccupied garbage truck, the patrol said.
n A Kansas City man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 8 a.m. Friday on U.S. Highway 71, three miles north of Sheldon in Vernon County, the state patrol said.
Gerald R. Grindstaff, 47, was flown by medical helicopter to Overland Park (Kan.) Regional Hospital, the patrol said.
Grindstaff was driving a southbound truck rig that ran into the rear of a southbound vehicle driven by David S. Blauvelt, 55, of Sheldon, before running off the road, across the highway median and the northbound lanes, striking an embankment and overturning, the patrol said.
n A Neosho woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 4 p.m. Thursday on U.S. Highway 71, four miles south of Joplin in Newton County, the state patrol said.
Doddie D. Boss, 41, was taken to Freeman Neosho Hospital in Neosho, the patrol said.
Boss was driving a northbound car that ran into a guardrail after she lost control of it on wet pavement, the patrol said.
n A Springfield woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 7:55 a.m. Thursday on Interstate 44, eight miles east of Mount Vernon in Lawrence County, the state patrol said.
Elizabeth A. Moler, 22, was taken by ambulance to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, the patrol said.
Moler was driving an eastbound car that ran off the road into the median and struck a median cable after she lost control of it on wet pavement, the patrol said.
