Music and food on tap at Webb City Farmer's Market

WEBB CITY, Mo. — Fresh local produce, music and food will be available Friday and Saturday at the Webb City Farmer’s Market in King Jack Park.

The market will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today. Granny Shaffer’s will serve stuffed baked potato with choice of topping for $5. A small chef salad and drink will be $6, and a slice of pie will be $2. Drew Pommert will perform. The Tri-State Iris Society will be at the market with over 100 iris plants for sale.

On Saturday the market will be open from 9 a.m. to noon. The Cooking For A Cause breakfast will be served from 9 to 11 a.m. and will benefit the Civil Air Patrol, a local organization for young people planning to join the Air Force. The Granny Chicks will play from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

The producer-only market will have a variety of local fruits and vegetables, meats, baked goods and local honey.
