Dillons to rebuild Joplin Store

JOPLIN, Mo. — Officials with the Dillons grocery chain have announced that they plan to rebuild the Joplin store that was destroyed in Sunday’s tornado.

In a statement released by the company, officials said that while exact details concerning the rebuilding effort have yet to be worked out the company “will work closely with Joplin city officials to determine the best approach as the community begins to redevelop.”

In addition the company announced it will donate $250,000 to the Ozark Food Harvest and a “dollar for dollar matching contribution” to the American Red Cross’ tornado relief efforts.
