Joplin School Board to meet tonight

JOPLIN, Mo. — The Joplin Board of Education will hold a special work session tonight, about two weeks before its regularly scheduled monthly meeting.

The agenda includes one discussion item related to the district’s strategic plan and one action item related to an Economic Development Administration grant application for Franklin Technical Center.

Also included on the agenda is a closed portion of the meeting for the board to discuss legal actions involving the district; the hiring, firing, disciplining or promoting of particular employees; and individually identifiable personnel records.

The board will meet at 5 p.m. in the administration building, 3901 E. 32nd St.
