Four State Farm Show draws crowds

PITTSBURG, Kan. — The Four State Farm Show once again is attracting visitors from around the area interested in farm equipment and supplies or pretty much anything related to farming.

On the minds of Farm Show visitors is the drought, which is damaging crops throughout the area.

“It’s hurting bad now,” said Dan McNett, with Lang Diesel Inc., Chanute, of the drought. “It’s probably going to be worse than last year.”

The show, sponsored by Farm Talk newspaper, is located on 25 acres south of Pittsburg. This is the 38th year of the event. The show runs through Sunday afternoon. Admission and parking is free.
