INMAN, Kan. (AP) — An organization that educates people about Kansas is seeking nominations for its latest “8 Wonders of Kansas” contest.

The subject this time is history.

The Kansas Sampler Foundation says it will take nominations through March, and the 24 finalists will be announced April 22.

The selection committee is looking for history entries that are interpreted through a museum, displays, sign or other means. That’s because one purpose of the contest is to encourage travel in Kansas.

Previous contests have showcased architecture, art, commerce, cuisine, customs and geography.
