Neosho Council schedules work session with TDD board

NEOSHO, Mo. — The Neosho City Council is hoping for participation from the Neosho Transportation Development District board in a work session scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Civic Center, 109 W. Main St.

The session is before the regular Council meeting, scheduled for 7 p.m. at City Hall.

The two entities are trying to reach a resolution to their differences before an Oct. 29 court hearing. The hearing will address a petition filed by the city challenging the initial formation of the TDD.

Jim Cummins, chairman of the TDD board, said by phone Monday morning, that he wasn’t certain how many board members would be there.

“I think we’ll have some representation there,” he said.

Cummins said he thinks the meeting would be beneficial regardless and could give attorneys direction in reaching a possible resolution.
