JOPLIN, Mo. —
A Back-to-School Open House on Wednesday, July 27, is designed to make enrolling at Missouri Southern State University simple.
The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 to 6 p.m. in Connor Ballroom on the third floor at Billingsly Student Center. It is designed for returning students, online students, new students and transfer students.
Staff from admissions, financial aid and registrar offices will be on hand to assist. They also will be able to help those who may be delaying enrollment because of circumstances related to the May 22 tornado.
“We realize the tornado may have contributed to problems with scheduling, paperwork and other issues,” said MSSU admissions director Derek Skaggs in a news release. “We want to make the enrollment process as easy as possible by giving students a chance to enroll at a one-stop shop.”
At the event, students may enroll, process student identification cards and parking permits, pick up books and activate university email accounts.
First-time freshmen also will be encouraged to attend the Southern Welcome program and First-Year Assessment on Aug. 18.
To contact the Missouri Southern State University admissions office, call 417-781-6778, 866-818-6778, or email admissions@mssu.edu.
