COLUMBUS, Kan. —
Jimmy Dale Sluder, the inmate who escaped Sunday from the Cherokee County Jail, was arrested Tuesday night at a Pittsburg apartment complex after the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department received a tip from an informant.
Sluder also is suspected of a residential burglary in Columbus after his escape, according to a news release from the sheriff’s department.
Sluder, who was in jail on theft charges, escaped early Sunday morning while taking out trash as part of an inmate work program.
