Redings Mill holds Saturday event to reduce danger of wild fires

REDINGS MILL, Mo. — The Redings Mill Fire District will hold a Firewise Clean Up Day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Redings Mill Fire District Station 1 at 344 Redings Mill Road.

Residents of Redings Mill Fire District can bring limbs and brush up to 3 inches thick to 344 Redings Mill Road and have a tree service mulch it on site. Residents have the choice to take the mulch or the fire district will dispose of it.

This project is part of Redings Mill Fire District’s Firewise Communities and Community Wildfire Protection program. The goal of these programs is to educate residents on ways to lessen the impact of wild land fires and to reduce fuels that may be burned during a wild land fire.
