CARTHAGE, Mo. —
State Rep. Tom Flanigan, R-Carthage, has been named vice-chair of the Budget Committee for the Missouri House of Representatives.
The appointment was announced Monday by Majority Floor Leader and Speaker-Designate Rep. Tim Jones, R-Eureka. State Rep. Rick Stream, R-Kirkwood, who is current committee vice-chair, was named to head the panel that plays a central role in development of the state budget.
Flanigan also was named chair of the House Fiscal Review committee. He is chair of the House Appropriations Committee for Health, Mental Health and Social Services. The appointments will take effect at the start of the legislative session in January.
