Chairman of Neosho Ethics Board resigns

NEOSHO, Mo. — The chairman of the Neosho Ethics Board unexpectedly resigned on Thursday as the board investigates a complaint against Neosho City Council members David Ruth and Steve Hart.

“I feel the board is not very well organized,” Timothy Lewis said by phone. “We’re shooting from the hip. A lot of this seems politically motivated. I don’t want my name to be a part of it.”

He said he thinks the arrangement is unfair to the council members who are accused, and the person who filed the complaint.
