— Three local school districts are preparing once again for their annual “Stuff the Bus” drive, which seeks school supplies to distribute to children who need them.

Donations of school supplies will be accepted at parked school buses from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, July 26, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at the Walmart supercenters on West Seventh Street in Joplin and South Madison Street in Webb City.

Supplies will also be collected the following weekend, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at the Walmart supercenter at 15th Street and Range Line Road in Joplin.

A specific list of the 10 most-needed school supplies will be available during the drive at each drop-off location.

Donations will be distributed in conjunction with Crosslines of Joplin to low-income children in the Joplin, Carl Junction and Webb City school districts.
