SMB sets up fund for Moore, Okla., storm victims

JOPLIN, Mo. — Southwest Missouri Bank has set up an account so area residents can donate to storm victims in Moore, Okla., which was hit by an EF-5 tornado on May 20.

To help, people can donate to: Red Cross Tornado Relief-Moore, OK, and drop it off at any SMB branch. The bank has 11 branch locations in Jasper and Newton counties

All of the funds collected will go to the Red Cross for Moore tornado victims.

“Be assured that all of the money will go to Moore,” SMB’s Marketing Director, Peggy Fuller, said in a statement. “SMB set up a similar account immediately following the tornado in Joplin two years ago today. We all understand that financial support is crucial to the tornado victims and an easy way for us in Joplin to show appreciation to all those who helped us.”
