CARTHAGE, Mo. — A benefit for Robert “Pooter” Strickland, of Carthage, will be staged Saturday at Jim’s Bar and Grill, 325 E. Fourth St.

The event will include a barbecue chicken dinner. A silent auction will be held from 1 to 5 p.m.

Live entertainment will start at 1 p.m., with Hank Rotten serving as emcee. Performing will be the Woodpeckers from 1 to 3 p.m.; The Geritol 5 from 4 to 6 p.m.; Motown with Tim from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.; and Stacey’s Revenge at 9 p.m. There will be karaoke and a disc jockey between bands.

Proceeds will go to Strickland to help with medical expenses.
