VINITA, Okla. — The body of a missing man was found Wednesday afternoon in Grand Lake.
Divers from the Grand River Dam Authority found the body of Carl Miller, 81, of Vinita, about 4:15 p.m. in about 25 feet of water near a boat dock at Grand Point.
GRDA spokesman Justin Alberty said the man was reported missing Tuesday morning from his home. Law enforcement agencies conducted a ground search Tuesday. GRDA divers started searching the water at daylight Wednesday. The search was temporarily delayed because of lightning from a thunderstorm Wednesday afternoon, Alberty said.
The body was taken to the state medical examiner’s office in Tulsa.
