JOPLIN, Mo. —
After two years serving as MSSU's vice president for academic affairs, AJ Anglin will be stepping back into the classroom.
He notified university administrators this week of his desire to return to teaching.
Anglin will begin serving as a faculty member in the Department of Chemical and Physical Sciences, effective June 1.
He will be replaced by Pat Lipira, who currently serves as head of the department of kinesiology as well as interim dean of the school of education at MSSU.
Lipira has been with the university for 31 years and has served as an administrator since 2000. She coached softball at MSSU for 19 years, leading the team to a national championship in 1992. Her appointment as interim vice president for academic affairs will last for two years, at which time the university will hold a national search.
