NEOSHO, Mo. — A fire Sunday afternoon in the laundry room of a Neosho apartment complex caused an estimated $2,000 in damage, according to the Neosho Fire Department.
Firefighters were called at 1:07 p.m. to the White Avenue Apartments and found heavy smoke coming from a laundry room. Fire Chief Greg Hickman said firefighters, who were on the scene about 45 minutes, confined the damage to the laundry room.
The fire is believed to have started in some exhaust tubing of a dryer, Hickman said. He said no injuries were reported.
