Missouri Economic Development officials confirmed today that the Twin Rivers Foods plant in Neosho will close permanently on April 9, putting 485 people out of work.
Officials at the plant have referred calls to the company’s headquarters in Fayetteville, Ark., but corporate officials have been unavailable for comment.
The Missouri Department of Economic Development is planning to organize a Rapid Response team to assist displaced workers.
