JOPLIN, Mo. — Update 10:40 a.m.: South Middle School has been given the all clear to return to the building after a threat was called in this morning.
Superintendent C.J. said students at South Middle School have been evacuated after a phone threat was received around 8 a.m. this morning.
The school is waiting for a dog team to arrive for a sweep of the building before students are allowed back in.
“My initial thought is that the kids have been through enough,” Huff said.
