NEOSHO, Mo. —
Public Works Director Mike Hightower on Tuesday unveiled a five-year street repair plan to the Neosho City Council.
Hightower said the plan would require a budget allocation of around $400,000 a year, on average. The repairs and maintenance would include sealing or asphalt overlay.
“The goal is to preserve the streets we’ve got, plus fix some of the bad ones,” Hightower said.
Councilman Steve Hart said residents have asked for street repairs.
“I think it’s great that we can say we’re going to start spending $400,000 a year fixing streets,” Hart said.
