Kid’s Day slated at Roaring River

CASSVILLE, Mo. — Roaring River Kid's Fishing Day will be staged Saturday, May 18, beginning at 9 a.m.

The event will include outdoor conservation classes and bluegrass music.

Classes will include fly casting and fly tying, air rifle target shooting, archery, the watershed, snakes, fisheries biology, outdoor photography, fish cleaning and cooking, and how to fish Roaring River.

Bluegrass music will be performed from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Main Stage.

After attending three classes, children may register their names for a large drawing to be held at 5 p.m. Children must be present to win. Other prizes will be awarded for catching a tagged trout. Classes are open to the whole family, but only children may enter the drawing.
