PITTSBURG, Kan. —
A reception celebrating incoming, outgoing and current Pittsburg City Commissioners will be held immediately following the 5:30 p.m. commission meeting on Tuesday at the Law Enforcement Center, 201 N. Pine St.
During the meeting, newly-elected commissioners Monica Murnan and Chuck Munsell will be sworn in and seated by the city clerk. They replace Marty Beezley and Rudy Draper, both of whom chose to not seek re-election. Also to be sworn in and seated will be re-elected commissioner Michael Gray.
Members of the commission will elect a mayor and a president of the board, both of whom also will be sworn in and seated by the city clerk. The city will present a ceremonial gavel to outgoing Mayor John Ketterman.
The reception is open to the public.
